Love that the mug keeps your beer/soda ice cold, it works great for that... BUT, for some reason these mugs do not last more than a couple months! I've bought 6 mugs and 4 have already cracked in the exact same place within 2-3 months. Someone told me that the gel inside continues to expand in the freezer, apparently it's not like ice and will stop expanding when completely frozen? And if that's correct, then the weak spot in the plastic mug is right behind the handle. There is nothing on the directions that say these can't stay in the freezer more than a couple hours, but apparently that's the case, which makes these completely useless. I don't plan hours ahead of when I think I might want a Pepsi! We have been very careful to handwash these and thoroughly dry them before putting them in the freezer, and still they crack every time from the top of the lip to the bottom directly behind the handle. I have 2 mugs left and assume these will be thrown away shortly as well. Love the look and size of the mug, love the idea behind them, but VERY POORLY MADE! A complete waste of money....
BTW - the old freezer mugs I had filled with a liquid lasted for about 10 years and worked just as well! I'm on the hunt for the old liquid filled mugs... these gel mugs are just crap!

The item that is picture is different then what I was sent.. I order 2 freezer mugs with the football hat logo on them as pictured on Amazon and what I received was totally different. I received 2 mugs with just the logo name on it not with the football helmet on it.

This mug is great...while it lasted. It's definitely great to pull an icy mug from the freezer and have a drink stay cold without getting watered down. But 2 of the 3 that I ordered have cracked in the freezer, all the way from top to bottom. So, if you only need one to get through a summer, great. If you want a mug you'll have for a while...maybe find another option.

I bought this for my son for his birthday and he loves it. Keeps his drinks cold without watering it down with melted ice. Highly recommend.
